The Holidays are fast approaching. Small, last minute holiday parties can still be accommodated over the next couple weeks, or, plan it for January. Instead of a 'Christmas Party' more businesses are opting to do a Staff Appreciation party in the New Year than ever before. Book yours today! Note: Saturday, January 6th 2018 after 2pm we will be closed to the public to host one of these parties.

Weekend News: The Chevy Christmas Cruise: A Million Clicks for Cans Fundraiser was a smashing success. The biggest donation to the Salvation Army in the shortest amount of time! Way to go Synthia and Jayce for hosting the event and being a part of something so thoughtful, generous and heart-warming during the holiday season.

Check out our Market Stand for organic pickled veggies, raw local honey, fresh ground coffee and fair trade organic Guatemalan roast, and Top Shelf Collection's Front Street Heat, a delicious hot sauce created by a Sarnia entrepreneur named Josh, and the logo/label was designed by our friend Marty (ya know, from Phil's Friend Marty), whose business Electric Marketing has also done graphics, menus and website work for the Eatery.

Over a hundred years of history preceded the
renovation that became James Street Eatery.

The first business to occupy this two storey brick building was called the Sparta Café in 1911. The names and owners have changed over the decades but it has always been home to an eatery. The memories of visiting “the old Fiesta” still occupy the minds of our long-time friends and guests...that's because it held that name from 1946 to 2013 and was a staple of Wallaceburg culture.

During the first week of November in 2013 the Fiesta had its last dinner service, locked the doors, and a team of employees and volunteers began tearing the place apart. Six days later, under a new name, the transformed dining room and a chef with a new menu was unveiled, and a new journey began.

James Street Eatery is a fresh approach to food in Wallaceburg. We work with whole foods, fresh vegetables, local farms and create great tasting dishes. This century old building, although now renovated top to bottom, has limited space and still houses a small production kitchen. We produce high quality food daily, meaning we are always cooking, chopping, baking and blending. We hope you enjoy our labour of love!
